MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FL0
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FL0, a synchronous servo motor sold within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. As a motor for digital drive controllers, it converts precisely modulated current into rotational motion for position-controlled axes in compact automation equipment. The small frame size and short housing let it fit into confined machine spaces while maintaining the speed and responsiveness required for pick-and-place gantries, labeling stations, and similar light-duty industrial tasks. That layout also suits machines with short travel distances, frequent starts and stops, and limited room for cable routing.
At its rated point, the motor reaches a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, which allows very short indexing cycles. A continuous standstill torque of 0.33 Nm shows the force it can exert while locked in position without overheating. The flange centering diameter is 40 mm, which helps keep the stator aligned with mounting hardware. Power and feedback pass through a single connector located on the left side of the frame, matching machines that route cables from that direction. Rotor position is returned by resolver feedback, which delivers sinusoidal angle signals that remain accurate at high speed. Standard dynamic balancing limits vibration, and the shaft area is left unsealed to reduce drag.
An integrated absolute encoder is built into the rear cover to provide single-turn position data immediately after power-up. Because the unit is supplied without a blocking brake, any holding force must come from the drive or external clamps. The rotor uses a plain shaft, and the shaft end is present only on side A, which simplifies coupler installation. A standard housing encloses the windings, and the lack of a shaft seal helps keep friction low during rapid acceleration. This arrangement keeps the motor package simple for space-restricted installations and leaves room around the drive end for compact couplings.
