MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GB0
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GB0 is a compact synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Intended for use with digital drive controllers, it converts regulated armature current into rapid, positionable shaft motion for indexing plates, mini conveyors, and light machining heads. The 025 frame and A-length housing minimize footprint, and standard rotor balancing allows direct coupling to precision joints without auxiliary dampers. This layout suits small servo axes where quick starts and stops are required in limited space, especially when adjacent machine components leave little room for a larger motor body.
Its continuous stall torque of 0.33 Nm is the maximum torque the rotor can hold indefinitely without overheating, giving a clear limit for static clamping or tensioning duties. A rated speed of 10000 rpm supports high cycle rates in small-diameter tooling. Position and velocity loops use the motor’s built-in resolver, and the resulting resolver feedback is resistant to electrical noise that often affects incremental encoders. Power, brake, and sensor conductors exit on the rear because the connections are located on Side B, and the single-piece plug style is a Connector, which keeps cabling straightforward in tight assemblies. Rear cable exit also helps keep the connection area away from the driven load.
A centering pilot of 40 mm ensures repeatable concentricity when the motor is clamped to adapter plates, while the output end uses a shaft seal to help block coolant or dust from entering the bearing set. Because the variant is supplied without a blocking brake, holding torque during power-off must be supplied by the drive or external mechanical means. The smooth plain shaft simplifies press-fit coupling, and the standard shaft end omits a rear extension to keep overall length low. This arrangement leaves a straightforward interface for compact couplings and pulleys.
