MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GC1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GC1 is a compact servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed to pair with digital drive controllers, it converts electrical command signals into rotational motion for pick-and-place heads, miniature spindles, and other high-speed automation axes. Its compact format suits small automation axes where low moving mass and quick response are important. By combining a low-inertia rotor with closely spaced stator windings, the unit supports rapid acceleration and deceleration cycles while maintaining accurate positioning in closed-loop systems used in assembly lines and semiconductor tools.
At its rated operating point, the motor reaches a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, giving machine builders headroom for short process times. Continuous stall capability is 0.33 Nm, so the magnetic circuit can hold light loads without overheating when the shaft is stationary. Position data are issued by an integrated absolute encoder, allowing immediate synchronization after power is applied. All power, brake, and feedback leads exit on Side A, which keeps cable routing on one side of a compact gantry and leaves the driven end unobstructed. When supply power is removed, a blocking brake clamps the rotor with 1.0 Nm of torque to prevent drift on vertical axes.
Mechanical alignment is provided by a centering hub measuring 40 mm in diameter, ensuring coaxial mounting to gearheads or pulley stages. For commutation, the drive also receives analog sine/cosine signals through the built-in resolver feedback, giving a stable rotor-angle signal during rapid reversals. The output journal is a plain shaft without secondary tapers or keyways, which suits precision clamp couplings and helps minimize runout at the connection point. A durable shaft seal around the nose helps limit coolant and dust ingress during operation.
