MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GD1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GD1 is a compact synchronous servo motor from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for use with digital drive controllers, it supplies precise torque and speed for pick-and-place heads, small indexing tables, and other rapid-cycle automation axes where repeatable motion is required. Its compact frame suits installations that need low moving mass and quick response. The unit includes integrated motor feedback so the drive can regulate position and speed in closed-loop motion profiles for multi-axis machinery.
At the rotor, the motor can deliver a continuous standstill torque of 0.33 Nm, allowing stable holding or slow feed rates without excessive heating. During motion, it reaches a nominal mechanical speed of 10,000 rpm, which suits high-speed spindle and tooling requirements in light-duty stages. A blocking brake rated at 1.0 Nm is integrated, and this spring-applied brake secures vertical loads when the drive is disabled. Mechanical centering is simplified by the 40 mm centering diameter, and cabling exits on side B to keep the feedback and power connectors away from the driven mechanics. This routing arrangement helps keep cable bends clear of nearby couplings and other moving parts.
The motor uses Resolver feedback, which gives the drive a position signal with good resistance to electrical noise. The rotor is balanced to standard balancing quality, which helps keep vibration low even at high speed and supports bearing life. The drive end has a plain shaft in a single-ended configuration, while power and feedback conductors are bundled in a connecting cable with coupling unit. The closed rear face leaves no shaft extension at the non-drive end, and the motor also uses a 40-series shaft seal. The combined cable arrangement reduces the number of separate motor-side connections and keeps the wiring layout compact.
