MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GL1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040GL1 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. As a motor for digital drive controllers, it translates regulated current into rapid rotary motion for positioning tasks in pick-and-place heads, miniature conveyors, and precision tooling. The slim housing helps it fit compact machine layouts where installation space is limited, especially on tightly spaced axes and small transfer units. It is intended for machines that need precise motion without the bulk of a larger frame.
The motor has a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, so it can maintain high shaft velocity in small-axis applications. During standstill, it can deliver 0.33 Nm continuously, allowing light holding duty without overheating. A built-in holding brake secures the rotor with 1.0 Nm of static torque when supply power is removed. The brake can hold the axis at rest while the drive is disabled or when mains power is unavailable. Mechanical centering against the driven element is achieved by a 40 mm pilot diameter, which helps maintain coaxial alignment and reduce runout. All electrical terminations are routed to the left side, which can simplify cable routing when several axes are installed close together.
Position data are provided through resolver feedback, allowing the drive to monitor rotor angle without external batteries. The output interface uses a plain shaft, and a factory-installed shaft seal helps reduce lubricant migration into the stator cavity. This shaft arrangement works well with clamp or press-fit couplings used on compact servo axes and small belt drives. The motor is built to balancing class Standard for smooth operation at high rotational speed. Frame size 025 and length code A give the unit a short body that fits inside narrow equipment bays.
