MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040MF0
Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040MF0, a compact servo motor in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. The unit is intended for use with digital drive controllers and supplies controlled rotary motion for indexing tables, small pick-and-place axes, and other high-speed automation stages. When paired with a compatible controller, the motor converts modulated stator current into mechanical torque that accelerates, positions, and decelerates loads in response to machine commands. It is suited to packaging, handling, and other automated equipment that requires repeatable motion in a small footprint.
The motor has a centering diameter of 40 mm, a size code of 025, and the short length variant A, which creates a light rotor with minimal inertia. Even at standstill, the motor can deliver 0.33 Nm of continuous torque, which is adequate for holding or slowly moving light tooling. Rated for a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, it supports rapid cycles when coupled with a matching inverter. Runout forces are reduced through standard balancing, which helps maintain smooth rotation at high speed. Position data comes from an integrated absolute encoder that sends multiturn information directly to the drive for closed-loop operation.
Electrical and mechanical connections are streamlined because power and feedback exit on the right side through a connecting cable with coupling unit, which simplifies cabinet routing where cable space is restricted. The single shaft uses a keyway profile and ends before side B, so gears or pulleys can be mounted without excessive overhang. The housing is the standard non-ventilated variant, and the motor is supplied without a blocking brake and without a shaft seal, which reduces friction in dry, clean installations. A fixed cable outlet can also help when the motor is installed close to slides, guards, or other adjacent hardware.
