MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040ML0
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040ML0 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Intended for use with digital drive controllers, the unit converts electrical energy into controlled rotary motion for compact automation axes that require high speed and accurate position control. It is suited to small machine axes where fast response and a compact mounting footprint are important. Its compact design also makes it appropriate for applications where mounting space is limited but repeatable motion is still required.
Continuous torque at standstill is 0.33 Nm, so the motor can supply that level of torque indefinitely without overheating while motionless. A nominal speed of 10000 rpm gives the rotor a high rated operating speed for fast indexing cycles. The centering diameter of 40 mm provides the pilot fit that aligns the housing on the mounting surface and helps keep rotation concentric. Power and feedback leads exit on the left side, which affects cable routing inside the machine. Position data are returned through resolver feedback, and an integrated absolute encoder supplies single-turn data at startup. This combination lets the matched drive detect rotor position immediately after power-up. The motor also uses standard balancing, an A-length stator, and a plug-in connector interface for straightforward cable connection.
The motor is delivered without a blocking brake, so the load must be held by external means when power is removed. A threaded circular connector carries power and sensor lines, and the housing has no shaft seal for clean, dry enclosures. The drive end uses a keyway shaft to transmit torque, and there is no shaft extension on side B. Because the housing lacks a shaft seal, the motor is better suited to protected indoor equipment than to wet or contaminated areas. With a frame code of 025, the motor fits very small installation spaces and is suitable for light pick-and-place heads, electronic assembly spindles, and similar high-speed applications.
