MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040MR0
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040MR0 is a compact synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for use with digital drive controllers, the unit converts controlled stator currents into high-speed rotary motion for indexing tables, pick-and-place heads, and other space-limited automation axes. Its mechanical layout, low mass, and keyed shaft support direct coupling to light loads without intermediate transmissions. Because the frame is very small, it fits applications where motor size must be kept low without giving up servo response.
Its nominal speed is 10000 rpm, which is the continuous operating speed available when commutation and thermal conditions remain within the motor’s intended range. At standstill, the motor supplies 0.33 Nm of continuous torque when cooled by natural convection. A centering diameter of 40 mm helps align the front flange with mating mounts or gearboxes and reduces the chance of offset during installation. Electrical and feedback cables exit on the right side, and a single multicore connector carries phase power, protective ground, and shielding in one connection point. This layout can help when space behind the motor is limited and can reduce the number of separate interfaces on the housing.
Position data is provided by an integrated absolute encoder, allowing immediate closed-loop control after power-up. The motor feedback channel supports stable signal transmission during fast motion and rapid acceleration. The motor is supplied without a blocking brake, so any vertical axis must rely on drive torque or an external holding device when power is removed. The housing follows the standard balance grade and has no shaft seal, so it is better suited to clean, dry installations than to direct exposure to coolant spray or oil mist. This setup is better suited to applications that depend on electronic position control rather than a mechanical holding function.
