MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040PA1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040PA1 is a compact synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for digital drive controllers. The motor delivers high rotational velocity to lightweight tooling and small material-handling axes in industrial automation.
At the core of the performance envelope is a nominal speed of 10000 min⁻¹, allowing rapid cycle times when paired with matching inverters. During continuous stall conditions, the motor sustains 0.33 Nm of torque, which is useful for precise indexing tasks where motion may pause but holding force is still required. Feedback is supplied by an integrated absolute encoder, so multi-turn position data remain available after power loss. Mechanical alignment is simplified by the centering pilot of 40 mm, and balancing is carried out to a standard grade to minimize residual vibration across the speed range. Power and feedback conductors exit on Side A through a sealed connector interface, which helps simplify cable routing in compact enclosures. The housing follows the standard design, and the shaft end is provided only on the drive side to save space.
The motion chain is safeguarded by the integrated blocking brake, which can restrain up to 1.0 Nm on the shaft when the drive is disabled. Resolver feedback is provided in addition to the encoder channel, and this secondary interface is identified as resolver feedback in the specification. The drive shaft is machined with a keyway to transmit torque to pulleys or couplings without slip, and a shaft seal helps prevent lubricant migration into the motor interior. The compact form factor is maintained through the A-length build code, while the mechanical envelope corresponds to size 025 in the MDD platform. This layout allows the servo motor to fit inside small pick-and-place heads or laboratory automation stages while maintaining controlled deceleration through its brake.
