MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040PR0
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040PR0 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Intended for use with digital drive controllers, the unit converts electrical commands into precise mechanical rotation in compact automation axes. Its A-length and size 025 frame support installation where space is limited, while standard dynamic balancing helps reduce vibration during high-speed operation. The motor uses a keyed shaft end to transmit torque directly to couplings or pulleys in light material-handling and pick-and-place equipment.
The rotor is rated for a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, so the drive can support fast indexing cycles without mechanical overspeed. At standstill, it can maintain a continuous torque of 0.33 Nm, which is suitable for small loads when the position loop commands zero motion. Position data are delivered by an integrated absolute encoder, which reports multi-turn angle to the controller and removes the need for homing after power-up. Power and feedback conductors exit on the right side, which can simplify routing when the motor is mounted on linear slides. A circular connector interface is used, so no terminal box is required. Accurate centering is supported by the 40 mm locating diameter machined into the front flange.
The motor is supplied without a blocking brake, so holding torque must be provided by the drive or an external clamp on vertical axes. A secondary channel provides resolver feedback, which the drive can compare with the main encoder signal to monitor position plausibility during operation. Shaft ingress protection is improved by a design with a shaft seal, which helps limit lubricant loss and particle entry at high speed. The single-ended shaft arrangement also supports straightforward coupling in compact assemblies.
