MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040FA0
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040FA0. It is a compact synchronous motor in the MDD Synchronous Motors series and interfaces directly with digital drive controllers. The unit converts regulated drive current into rotary motion for axes that demand high positioning accuracy and rapid speed changes in automated assembly stations, small pick-and-place gantries, and electronic component handlers. Its compact format also suits motion axes where installation space is limited and repeatable response is important.
The motor’s maximum speed is 10,000 rpm, which supports short cycle times in lightweight tooling. At standstill, it can deliver 0.60 Nm of continuous torque, providing steady force for fine-feed applications. A centering collar diameter of 40 mm provides a reference surface for precise flange alignment with gear stages or direct-drive couplings. Position and speed loops are closed through resolver feedback, allowing the controller to monitor rotor position during acceleration and low-speed operation. For field wiring, the stator head is fitted with a sealed connector that separates power phases from signal lines and allows cable changes without opening the housing.
Mechanical linkage uses a plain shaft, which transmits torque without keyways and helps reduce micro-vibration when clamped by precision couplings. All electrical terminals face side A, so cable routing can stay along a single machine wall. The motor is supplied without a blocking brake, so applications that need holding force during power loss must use external clamping or servo-lock functions. With motor length code B, the frame provides more winding space than the shorter A variant while still fitting into compact Z-axes. The unvented housing, the plain shaft end on side B, and the absence of a shaft seal suit clean, closed cabinets where airborne fluid contamination is minimal.
