MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040MD1
The MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040MD1 is a compact AC synchronous motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for direct coupling to digital drive controllers that govern torque and position in automated assembly lines. The motor converts controller commands into precise rotary motion for pick-and-place heads, light gantries, and indexing tables. Its compact frame size also suits machine sections where mounting space is limited. Because it is a synchronous design, it works in closed-loop servo systems that need predictable response during acceleration, dwell, and rapid indexing moves.
The flange registers with a 40 mm centering diameter, providing coaxial alignment during installation. Power and feedback conductors exit on side B, and the motor uses a connecting cable with a coupling unit for a compact electrical interface. At standstill, the rotor can deliver 0.60 Nm of continuous torque without exceeding rated heating, and the electromagnetic design supports speeds up to 10,000 rpm for high-speed indexing. The motor uses standard balancing, and its housing fits common MDD mounting arrangements without extra adapters. Routing both power and feedback through the same exit side can simplify cable management in compact machine sections.
A blocking brake is integrated and provides 1.0 Nm of static holding torque when power is removed. Position feedback relies on resolver feedback, enabling analog angle detection in servo loops that must tolerate electrical noise. The 025 frame helps keep inertia low, and the motor is supplied without a shaft seal. Its output uses a single-ended keyway shaft, which mates with standard couplings and leaves no shaft extension on the opposite side. The lack of a shaft seal makes the shaft end better suited to clean machine areas than to washdown zones.
