MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040MF1
The MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040MF1 synchronous motor is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Built for use on digital drive controllers, it delivers precise rotary motion to light-duty positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and other compact axes common in automated assembly equipment. Its B length code, 025 frame size, and standard housing give a small footprint while the standard balancing class keeps vibration low during high-speed cycles, making the unit suitable for densely packed production lines.
A centering diameter of 40 mm aligns the motor concentrically with gearboxes or mounting flanges, reducing runout that could degrade accuracy. Power and feedback conductors exit on the right side, so cabling can follow machine contours without sharp bends. The electrical interface uses a connecting cable with a coupling unit, allowing quick disconnection during service. At standstill, the winding can continuously produce 0.60 Nm of torque, allowing the axis to hold small loads without overheating. For additional safety, the motor is supplied with a blocking brake; this spring-applied device engages automatically when power is removed to prevent uncommanded motion.
The brake generates 1.0 Nm of holding torque, giving reserve capacity over the continuous electromagnetic output for vertical or overhung loads. During operation, the shaft can reach a nominal speed of 10,000 rpm, supporting rapid index moves in short-stroke applications. Rotor position is monitored by resolver feedback, which provides analog sine and cosine signals for closed-loop control even in electrically noisy environments. Mechanical power is transferred through a keyway shaft; the absence of a shaft seal minimizes drag, but the installation area must remain free of coolant spray or fine dust to protect internal bearings.
