MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040PD1
The MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040PD1 synchronous motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. As a motor for digital drive controllers, it converts commanded current into precise rotary motion for compact automated axes. The 025 frame size and B length code give a small stator package that minimizes mass while allowing high rotor speed, making the unit suitable for pick-and-place heads, miniature spindles, or other installations where envelope limits and dynamic response are critical.
The motor delivers a continuous standstill torque of 0.60 Nm; this is the constant shaft torque that can be maintained without exceeding its thermal limit when the rotor is locked. During motion it can reach a nominal mechanical speed of 10000 rpm, matching high-frequency drive outputs in fast indexing sequences. A blocking brake is fitted, and its holding capability is rated at 1.0 Nm, so vertical loads remain fixed when power is removed. Position data are returned to the drive through resolver feedback, which supplies rotor angle even at standstill and tolerates electrical noise. Mechanical alignment with adjacent couplings is aided by the 40 mm centering diameter, while standard dynamic balancing and the standard housing keep vibration and mounting dimensions consistent with other MDD models.
Power and feedback conductors exit on side B of the stator and are bundled in a connecting cable with a coupling unit, simplifying installation inside narrow cabinets. The single output shaft follows a keyway profile and is protected by a factory-installed shaft seal that limits dust and coolant ingress to the bearing cavity. Only the drive end is present, and the opposite side remains smooth, so the motor uses a single shaft end for torque transmission to pinions, pulleys, or miniature belt drives.
