The MDD025B-N-100-N2G-040PE1 is a compact motor for digital drive controllers produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. As a permanent-magnet synchronous unit, it supplies closed-loop torque and velocity control to lightweight axes, pick-and-place heads, and other precision stations in automated lines. By pairing with compatible drives, the motor converts input current into controlled rotary motion that can be synchronized with CNC, PLC, or robot commands. Its small format also suits installations where mounting space and moving mass must remain limited.
A centering diameter of 40 mm provides the locating surface on the front flange, so the motor can seat concentrically in gearboxes or mounting frames without extra sleeves. The motor can sustain a continuous standstill torque of 0.60 Nm, which supports stable holding force during indexing tasks. When operated at rated speed, the rotor reaches 10000 rpm, allowing fast motion on compact mechanical transmissions. An integrated blocking brake supplies up to 1.0 Nm of static torque, so vertical axes can remain in position after power is removed. Position information is provided through resolver feedback, allowing analog angle detection that remains reliable in electrically noisy environments. A shaft seal is fitted at the output end to help protect the bearing system from coolant spray and fine dust.
The rotor uses standard balancing, which helps keep vibration levels low at full speed. Power and feedback lines exit on the left side, which can simplify cable routing when several motors are installed close together. With frame code 025, the motor occupies very little installation space, while the B length provides additional room for the winding. A connecting cable with a coupling unit supports plug-in installation, and the keyway shaft end provides a secure mechanical interface for pulleys or couplings.
