MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040FC1
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040FC1 for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for digital drive controllers and converts drive current into rotational motion for precise positioning and velocity control in compact automation axes, pick-and-place heads, and electronic assembly stages. Motor size code 025 keeps the housing envelope small, while code B indicates the medium length within this frame. This compact format suits small axes where limited installation space and fast response are important.
The rotor is balanced to a standard grade, and its centering flange measures 40 mm, so alignment with gearheads or machine frames is repeatable. Power and feedback conductors exit on Side A, which simplifies cable routing inside tight cabinets. Those conductors are supplied as a connecting cable with a coupling unit, reducing field wiring. The stator can deliver 0.60 Nm of continuous holding torque at standstill, supporting closed-loop stiffness when the axis is held in position. A permanent blocking brake is installed and has a rated holding capability of 1.0 Nm, allowing the load to remain secured during power loss. During motion, the magnetic circuit supports a nominal shaft speed of 10000 rpm, matching high-throughput pick-and-place cycles and small spindle operations without requiring a gearbox.
Electrical position data are provided by an integrated absolute encoder together with resolver feedback, giving the controller multi-turn position information and analog velocity signals. The motor uses a standard housing and a standard shaft end, and the plain shaft design promotes low-runout coupling to miniature timing pulleys. There is no shaft seal, so the surrounding system must protect the front bearing from coolant splash or fine dust. Balancing, housing, and coupling configuration are set at the factory, which helps maintain consistent vibration behavior after the motor is mounted to the machine base.
