MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040MC1
The MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040MC1 is a compact synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and included in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Developed for digital drive controllers, it converts controlled electrical input into precise mechanical rotation for small indexing tables, pick-and-place heads, and other high-speed automation axes. The design keeps inertia low while supporting rapid acceleration, making the unit suitable for applications that demand accurate positioning during extended duty cycles. Its compact format also helps the motor fit into machine sections where installation space is limited and fast motion changes are required.
Performance is anchored by a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, allowing rapid cycle times when paired with a matching drive. At standstill, the motor can deliver 0.60 Nm of continuous torque, which indicates its continuous holding capability without additional cooling. Position data are furnished by an integrated absolute encoder, so controller power-up begins with an established mechanical reference. A blocking brake is factory installed, and its holding element supplies 1.0 Nm of torque to secure the shaft when supply power is removed. Drive electronics receive commutation and velocity information by means of resolver feedback, which provides noise-immune analog sine-cosine signals for industrial operation.
Mechanical integration is simplified by a centering flange diameter of 40 mm and by power and feedback connectors mounted on A-side of the housing. The motor is supplied with a connecting cable with a coupling unit, so field wiring only requires connection to the mating harness. Vibration is minimized through standard balancing, and the rotor uses a keyway shaft to transmit torque to pulleys or couplings. The shaft end is present only on the drive side, and there is no shaft seal, so the output journal should be protected from contamination during use. Motor size 025 and length code B keep the housing short, which helps the unit fit into tight mechanical envelopes.
