MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040ME1
The MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040ME1 is a compact synchronous servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for use with digital drive controllers, it converts electrical energy from the drive into mechanical rotation. This supports precision positioning and stable velocity control on light-duty axes, pick-and-place units, and other compact automation stages where installation space is limited. Its compact format also suits tightly spaced machine sections and small moving assemblies.
The motor delivers a continuous standstill torque of 0.60 Nm, allowing it to hold modest static loads without overheating when locked in position. A nominal speed of 10,000 rpm provides rapid cycle capability where high spindle or feeder rates are required. Service cables exit on the left side, so power and feedback lines can be routed in one direction in narrow machine layouts. Electrical connection is made through a connecting cable with a coupling unit, which keeps the motor connection detachable at the housing. Position data comes from an integrated absolute encoder that reports shaft angle immediately after power-up, eliminating homing moves. Mechanical power is transferred by a keyway shaft, so standard keyed hubs or pulleys can be secured without relying only on friction fits.
An internal blocking brake supplies 1.0 Nm of retention torque so vertical or suspended loads remain stationary if the drive is disabled. Precise mounting is aided by a 40 mm centering diameter that seats the motor concentrically in a machine plate or adapter. The motor uses standard dynamic balancing, which supports smooth rotation during high-speed operation. It comes without a shaft seal to reduce friction at the output. The housing also uses length code B and a frame size of 025, keeping the motor small while preserving accurate alignment at the mounting face.
