MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040PR1
The MDD025B-N-100-N2K-040PR1 is an AC servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed to pair with digital drive controllers, the motor supplies finely regulated rotary motion for light-duty positioning axes and high-speed spindles in automated assembly, printing, and semiconductor equipment. Its compact frame allows installation in machines with limited mounting space while still supporting rapid acceleration and precise feedback control. In these roles, the motor supports repeatable motion on small axes where oversized housings are not practical.
The motor reaches a nominal speed of 10000 rpm while maintaining a continuous standstill torque of 0.60 Nm, giving a wide control range for fast indexing and low-speed holding. Electrical and feedback conductors exit on the right side through a sealed connector, which can simplify cable routing inside tight enclosures. The sealed connector also keeps the cable interface compact and protected. A centering diameter of 40 mm aligns the flange with gearbox or machine plates, and standard balancing helps limit residual vibration at high shaft speed. Position data are delivered by the motor’s integrated absolute encoder, providing continuous angle feedback to the drive for closed-loop control.
Mechanical retention is supplied by a blocking brake that delivers 1.0 Nm of static torque when power is removed, which helps prevent drift on vertical or load-biased axes. Torque is transmitted through a keyway shaft, and a dedicated shaft seal protects the interior bearings from coolant or dust. The motor is delivered in a standard housing with size 025 and length code B, so it fits common mounting footprints within this series. Because only one shaft end is present, couplings or pulleys are attached on side A, leaving the rear section available for the brake and encoder components. The enclosed rear arrangement keeps the feedback and braking parts separate from the driven machine interface.
