MDD025C-N-100-N2K-040GA0
The MDD025C-N-100-N2K-040GA0 is a compact synchronous servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for digital drive controllers, it provides precise rotary actuation in conveyor indexing tables, miniature pick-and-place stations, and other space-restricted axes. The motor combines a 025 frame with a standard housing that fits easily into 40 mm grid mounting patterns, and its plain shaft is balanced to a standard grade so vibration stays within servo-class limits even when the rotor runs near its maximum mechanical speed. This layout supports fast response in small motion systems where low installation space and accurate shaft movement matter.
At standstill, the unit sustains a continuous torque of 0.90 Nm, enough to hold fixtures or light loads without external brakes while the motor remains energized. A nominal speed of 10,000 rpm permits direct coupling to high-speed lead screws, which can reduce the need for gearing and the inertia that comes with it. The precision pilot has a 40 mm centering diameter that seats the flange concentrically and helps protect encoder alignment during mounting. Service cables exit on Side A, and a keyed circular connector combines power and signal contacts in a single plug to simplify wiring. Keeping the cable exit on one side also helps maintain clear access around the opposite side of the housing for installation and surrounding airflow.
Feedback is provided by an integrated absolute encoder that supplies multi-turn position data, while built-in resolver feedback allows compatibility with earlier drive cards. Because the rotor is supplied without a blocking brake, vertical or inclined axes must rely on external holding devices when power is removed. Contaminants are kept out by construction with a shaft seal, and the C length code accommodates the sensor stack without increasing motor diameter. This arrangement preserves the compact profile of the motor while supporting closed-loop positioning.
