MDD041A-N-100-N2K-050FA1
The MDD041A-N-100-N2K-050FA1 is a synchronous servo motor engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. As a motor for digital drive controllers, it delivers rotational power to packaging stations, pick-and-place axes, and other light-duty automation that benefits from speeds up to 10,000 rpm. An integrated absolute encoder supplies single-turn position data directly to the drive, eliminating external feedback devices and allowing closed-loop control from startup. That makes the motor useful for indexing, feeding, and transfer motions that need repeatable positioning after each power cycle.
The mechanical and electrical interfaces are arranged for straightforward cabinet wiring. Power and feedback cables exit on Side A, and a keyed connector carries both motor phases and protective earth through one motor-side connection. Precise mechanical locating is aided by a 50 mm centering diameter, while the rotor is balanced to limit vibration at high speed. At standstill, the motor can supply 0.64 Nm continuously, and a blocking brake delivers 1.2 Nm of static holding torque when power is removed. This arrangement helps the motor fit compact machine sections where cable routing and mounting space must stay simple.
Integrated feedback electronics provide position, velocity, and commutation data to the controller during operation. The frame size 041 and short A length contribute to low rotor inertia, which helps the motor respond quickly to command changes. A smooth plain shaft is intended for clamping couplings rather than keyed connections, and the unit is supplied without a shaft seal. The shaft end is omitted on side B to reduce overhung load, and standard housing protection together with the lack of liquid cooling keeps the package compact for small axis modules. This layout also reduces external parts at the non-drive end, which helps when the motor is installed close to adjacent machine components.
