MDD041A-N-100-N2K-050GA1
The MDD041A-N-100-N2K-050GA1 AC synchronous motor is part of the MDD Synchronous Motors series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is intended for closed-loop motion control in small pick-and-place units, indexing tables, and other light-duty automation axes that require fast and accurate rotary movement. Its compact housing helps it fit into tight machine spaces where larger motors would be difficult to mount. The motor uses a plain shaft and a front-face centering interface, so it can be coupled directly to gearheads or timing pulleys without added adapter parts.
The motor has a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, which supports high surface speed when it drives small-diameter tooling. At standstill, it can provide 0.64 Nm of continuous torque for holding or slow, controlled movement without overheating. A normally closed holding brake supplies 1.2 Nm of static torque to keep suspended or vertical loads from drifting when power is removed. Mounting accuracy is supported by a centering pilot of 50 mm, which helps align the motor with the driven equipment. Position data is supplied by an integrated absolute encoder, allowing the controller to detect rotor position immediately after startup.
The motor is supplied with a shaft seal, which helps limit lubricant migration along the shaft and reduces the entry of contaminants in demanding machine environments. Power and feedback cables exit on side A, which can simplify routing when the cabinet or cable track is located on one side of the machine. The compact frame code 041 keeps the motor small and helps reduce moving mass on fast axes. Its short A length also supports quick acceleration and low reflected inertia in compact handling systems, while the sealed shaft end helps the motor remain suitable for areas exposed to oil mist or similar operating conditions.
