MDD041B-N-100-N2G-050FA1
The MDD041B-N-100-N2G-050FA1 is a synchronous motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for use with digital drive controllers, which supply modulated current for precise rotary motion in compact positioning modules, light machining spindles, and indexing devices. In closed-loop servo systems, the motor supports accurate speed and torque control during repeated motion cycles. Because the drive closes the control loop externally, the motor is well suited for applications that require smooth acceleration and repeatable stopping.
The motor reaches speeds up to 10,000 rpm, allowing high-cycle processes to run quickly without gear reduction. At standstill, it can sustain 1.35 Nm of continuous torque, which helps keep an axis stable when motion is paused. Its compact housing uses size code 041 with length variant B, and a 50 mm centering diameter helps align the flange during mounting. Power and feedback conductors exit on side A, and the integral connector arrangement keeps cable routing direct while the aluminum housing helps dissipate heat. That layout is also useful where the motor must fit into tight machine spaces with limited clearance around the rear housing.
An internal blocking brake provides 1.2 Nm of holding torque to secure vertical or overhung loads when the drive is disabled. The motor is balanced to standard grade to reduce vibration at high speed, and resolver feedback supplies rotor position data for stable control during reversals and continuous rotation. The output uses a plain shaft, and the motor does not include a shaft seal, so it is best suited for clean, dry enclosures. The absence of a shaft seal reduces drag, but the motor should be protected from coolant and heavy contamination. A single shaft end is provided, which keeps the package compact and avoids an unused rear extension.
