The MDD041B-N-100-N2G-050MA1 is a compact synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is designed for use with digital drive controllers in automated motion systems. The motor converts regulated stator currents into precise rotor motion so axes can maintain position or velocity under varying loads in assembly cells, pick-and-place gantries, and packaging equipment.
This unit delivers a continuous standstill torque of 1.35 Nm, providing steady holding force when the shaft is energized but not rotating. During operation, it can reach a rated mechanical speed of 10,000 rpm, which supports high-throughput positioning without mechanical gear reduction. A blocking brake is integrated, and its release torque is rated at 1.2 Nm; this electromagnetic element locks the rotor when power is removed to help prevent unwanted drift on vertical axes. Accurate rotor angle data is supplied to the drive through resolver feedback, enabling closed-loop commutation during rapid acceleration. Cabling is routed on side A through a sealed circular connector, which simplifies access when the motor is installed close to a machine wall. The ground steel shaft is machined with a keyway so torque can be transmitted directly to pulleys or couplings without slip. Because the design is supplied without a shaft seal, the motor should be used in dry areas or paired with an external lip seal on the driven component. The rotor uses standard balancing to limit vibration at full speed, and the cast aluminum housing keeps a standard form that fits existing MDD041 size envelopes without custom brackets.
