MDD041C-N-100-N2G-050PB1
The MDD041C-N-100-N2G-050PB1 synchronous motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Supplied as a motor for digital drive controllers, the 041 frame size allows it to fit compact machine modules while still delivering the high rotational speeds used by indexing tables and electronic camming stations. Its task in an automation cell is to transform drive current into precisely metered shaft torque so that motion sequences follow the command profile generated by the controller.
The motor’s rated speed is 10000 rpm, which is the maximum continuous operating speed of the rotor. At zero speed, it can hold a load with 2.05 Nm of continuous torque, helping prevent drift during dwell periods on vertical or tensioned axes. Power and feedback leads exit on side B, which helps with cable routing when the housing is mounted in tight panels. A centering flange of 50 mm supports accurate alignment with gearheads or mounting plates, which helps reduce vibration during high-speed operation. Position and velocity are reported through resolver feedback, giving the drive analog angle data for closed-loop regulation even under electrical noise or elevated temperatures. The motor also uses a standard housing, a connector interface, and the C length code for its basic mechanical layout.
An integral blocking brake supplies 1.2 Nm of holding torque, letting the axis secure loads after power is removed without external clamps. The output shaft is machined with a keyway so torque can be transferred directly into pulleys or couplings, and a shaft seal is fitted to limit lubricant migration or contaminant ingress. Rotor balance is set to standard balancing, which keeps residual vibration within limits appropriate for bearing life at the motor’s rated speed. Because the shaft end is present only on the drive side, auxiliary encoders or other mechanical takeoffs are not accommodated on the opposite face, which helps keep the overall length minimal.
