MDD071A-N-040-N2S-095GR2
The MDD071A-N-040-N2S-095GR2 is a rotary synchronous servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for digital drive controllers, it converts commanded current into precise mechanical rotation for positioning axes, indexing tables, and other motion tasks in automated lines. Its synchronous operating principle allows the paired drive to regulate speed and position with quick response during repeated starts, stops, and direction changes. That makes it suitable for packaging stations, assembly equipment, and transfer systems that require repeatable motion instead of simple constant-speed rotation.
The unit delivers a nominal speed of 4000 rpm, so it can support fast cycle times in compact handling equipment. At standstill it can exert 2.2 Nm continuously, which suits light conveyors, small pick-and-place arms, and other axes that need steady holding torque during process pauses. A blocking brake is integrated and provides up to 6.5 Nm of torque to hold the shaft when drive current is removed, which is useful on vertical or indexed axes that must remain in place during controlled stops. Position and velocity information is returned through digital servo feedback, and power and feedback conductors are connected through a keyed connector for secure cable attachment. The feedback signals let the controller correct minor load disturbances before they become visible at the machine axis.
The motor uses a centering diameter of 95 mm to align the flange accurately against a gearbox or machine plate. Cables exit on the right side, which can simplify routing when adjacent components leave little clearance around the rear of the housing. The output end uses a plain shaft and is supplied with a shaft seal to support direct coupling while helping limit the entry of dust and other contaminants into the bearing area. This shaft style is commonly paired with clamp-style couplings or pulleys that rely on frictional locking rather than a keyed fit. Size code 071, Standard housing, and length code A keep the motor compact where installation space is limited.
