MDD071A-N-040-N2T-095PR2
The MDD071A-N-040-N2T-095PR2 is a compact synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Engineered for digital drive controllers, it converts regulated three-phase power into precise rotary motion for pick-and-place heads, indexing tables, and other automated equipment. By combining magnetic feedback with a low-inertia rotor, the unit supports fast positioning cycles while keeping thermal stress within safe limits during continuous industrial service. It is well suited for compact axes where quick acceleration and repeatable positioning are important to overall machine performance. This arrangement also helps the motor respond quickly to changing commands during frequent starts, stops, and reversals.
Its centering diameter is 95 mm, providing positive seating when the 071-frame housing is clamped to a mounting pilot. Cables exit on the right side and lock to a sealed connector, which helps protect the electrical interface while supporting the motor’s sealed construction. The motor supplies 2.2 Nm of continuous standstill torque from the short A-length stator, and it reaches a nominal speed of 4000 rpm for applications that demand high traverse rates. Command accuracy is supported by digital servo feedback, and the standard balancing class keeps residual vibration low during full-speed reversing duty. The housing follows the standard smooth-case pattern used in this series, and an internal shaft seal separates the lubrication chamber from the encoder section.
An integrated multi-turn absolute encoder reports absolute rotor angle over several mechanical revolutions, eliminating the need for homing after power is restored. When motion must be locked during shutdown, a blocking brake supplies 6.5 Nm of holding torque and engages automatically when power is removed. The output shaft is machined with a keyway and is presented only on side A, leaving side B closed to reduce overall length. This layout also leaves more installation space at the non-drive end for cable routing and nearby machine parts. Frame designation 071 and length code A keep weight low for compact axes, while the housing and shaft seal help the motor operate in dusty or damp production areas.
