The MDD071B-N-030-N2M-095PB1 is a brushless AC servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is supplied for use with digital drive controllers, converting electrical commands into precise rotary motion for positioning tasks, indexing tables, and coordinated axes in automated machinery. The unit’s mechanical size, electrical design, and integrated feedback devices allow it to operate as a tightly coupled actuator in closed-loop motion systems across packaging, printing, and material-handling lines.
The stator-housing assembly follows a standard balancing grade to minimize residual vibration, and its centering flange has a diameter of 95 mm so alignment with gearboxes or machine frames can be achieved without additional sleeves. Power and signal cables exit on Side B, which simplifies wiring in cabinets where the motor faces the load. A plug-style connector is provided instead of pigtail leads, allowing quick disconnection during service. Under continuous stall conditions, the motor produces 4.4 Nm of torque, which is suitable for small to mid-mass inertial loads. Rotor position and multi-turn angle data are delivered by an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder, removing the need for external homing routines after power is restored. A factory-mounted blocking brake supplies 3.0 Nm of holding torque, allowing vertical or suspended axes to maintain position when the drive is disabled. During motion, the winding is rated for a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, matching the operating range of typical Indramat drive modules. Feedback signals are transmitted as digital servo feedback (DSF), supporting high-resolution, phase-aligned commutation with the controller. The steel shaft is machined with a keyway and is supplied without a second shaft extension on side B, which helps keep the overall length within the B motor length for the 071 frame.
