MDD071B-N-060-N2T-095GR1
The MDD071B-N-060-N2T-095GR1 is a synchronous AC motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for digital drive controllers, it converts drive output current into controlled rotary motion for indexing tables, gantry axes, and compact machining spindles. Standard balancing and a standard housing allow mounting without additional vibration damping. The unit has a plain shaft for direct coupling, and an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder supplies precise position data to the controller after every power cycle. This arrangement supports repeatable motion in applications that require stable low-speed control and accurate positioning during frequent start-stop cycles.
At a nominal speed of 6000 rpm, the rotor operates well above typical line-synchronous ranges and supports rapid traverse when commanded. Its continuous torque at standstill of 4.4 Nm maintains force during static holding or fine interpolation. A centering diameter of 95 mm aligns the motor to adjoining mechanical frames, helping keep the shaft concentric with driven elements. The integrated blocking brake supplies a static holding capability of 3.0 Nm, preventing vertical loads from slipping when power is removed. Real-time position and velocity data are carried through digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to close current, speed, and position loops with accurate feedback.
Power and feedback leads terminate on a connector positioned on the right side of the stator, which helps route cables cleanly when the cabinet is beside the axis. The working interface is a plain shaft fitted with a shaft seal that limits grease escape and helps block coolant entry. The motor uses motor length code B and size designation 071 to keep the package compact for light gantries and other space-limited axes. A standard shaft end on side A only reduces rotating inertia, and the lack of a second shaft end leaves space for direct encoder mounting. The sealed shaft end also helps protect internal bearing areas in installations where splash or fine mist may be present.
