MDD071B-N-060-N2T-095PA2
The MDD071B-N-060-N2T-095PA2 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for use with digital drive controllers, it supplies precise rotary motion so that automated axes can accelerate, decelerate, and hold position under closed-loop control in production machinery. It is suitable for packaging, handling, and general automation equipment where position accuracy depends on steady feedback and predictable torque response. The motor can also support quick reversals when the matched drive is tuned for the axis load.
This model delivers a continuous standstill torque of 4.4 Nm, giving the drive enough reserve to maintain load when the shaft is motionless. Its rated speed of 6000 rpm sets the maximum operating speed under nominal voltage and cooling. A blocking brake integrated at the non-drive end supplies 6.5 Nm of holding torque to secure vertical or suspended masses during power loss. A centering diameter of 95 mm aligns the motor with adjacent flanges, and all power and feedback leads exit on Side A through a single circular connector to simplify routing. The motor has a single shaft extension on the drive side and no secondary shaft end on side B.
The motor’s control loop relies on digital servo feedback (DSF) from an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder, enabling the drive to track position over multiple revolutions without battery support. Absolute position retention after power cycling can reduce the need for a homing move on many machine layouts. Rotary power is transferred through a shaft with a keyway, which helps prevent slip between the motor and attached couplings. A factory-installed shaft seal limits dust ingress and helps keep lubricant away from the output end. Standard dynamic balancing, the B motor length in the 071 frame, and the cast-aluminum housing support smooth running and effective heat dissipation in compact installations.
