MIV30A-3-V5
The Okuma MIV30A-3-V5 servo drive is an advanced motor control unit from the MIV Servo Drives series by Okuma. Designed to operate on a three-phase 200–230 VAC input voltage, it delivers a rated output power of 30 kW (40 HP) for high-demand industrial automation applications. The drive measures 380 × 300 × 325 mm and weighs 24 kg, combining substantial power handling with a compact footprint. Its primary function is to provide precise, three-axis VAC motor control in manufacturing and processing environments, ensuring smooth torque delivery and responsive speed regulation.
This servo drive features a resolver signal period of 0.128 ms (7.81 kHz) and a resolver signal amplitude of 6.0 Vpp for accurate rotor position feedback. The drive supports encoder signals with A-Phase and B-Phase voltage ranges of 2.6–4.6 V (optional 3.3 V), and Z-Phase signal thresholds of Vz1 ≥1.4 V; Vz2 ≤0.5 V; pulse width 0.1T–0.4T. Its speed constant of 1562 rpm/V ensures predictable response under varying load conditions, while built-in overcurrent protection and overvoltage/undervoltage protection guard against electrical faults. With an internal heat sink and forced-air cooling, the MIV30A-3-V5 maintains stable operation even under continuous full-load conditions.
The MIV30A-3-V5 is engineered for durability and compatibility within diverse industrial networks, offering stable performance across extended duty cycles. Its robust protection features, including thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection, enhance equipment longevity and minimize downtime. The drive’s precise encoder and resolver interfaces support seamless integration with modern CNC controllers and PLCs. By delivering efficient heat management and reliable electrical safeguards, this servo drive improves system uptime and reduces maintenance costs. In industrial automation settings, the MIV30A-3-V5 ensures optimized motion control, contributing to higher throughput and consistent product quality.
