Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MSK040B-0600-NN-M1-AG0-NNNN, a Rexroth MSK servo motor. Prior to shipping, an array of tests are performed on the motors including high-voltage, insulation resistance, winding resistance and others. The motor boasts a built-in multi-turn optical encoder offering 128 signal periods compatible with Hiperface. Its power and feedback connectors are adjustable to 240 degrees Celsius and it uses natural convection for cooling. Rated for optimal performance within 0-40 degrees Celsius and altitudes within 1000 meters, the motor's output decreases if these parameters are exceeded. The output, for example, falls to 80% at 55 degrees Celsius. Its smooth-type shaft, fitted with a wear-and-tear prone sealing ring, prevents oil leaks and contaminants. The motor doesn't have a standard holding brake, but a 4 Nm holding torque one can be ordered. It provides 1.7 Nm continuous torque, 5.1 Nm maximum torque, and can reach a maximum speed of 7500 RPM.
