The Bosch Rexroth Indramat MSK040B-0600-NN-S3-UP1-NNNN is an advanced IndraDyn S series synchronous motor. Known by its model type, frame size, and length of 40 and B respectively, it features no holding brake and a 0.0001 Kgm2 rotor inertia. The motor includes a sealing ring and a smooth shaft with a 4-Nm holding brake. At 20 degrees Celsius, the winding resistance is rated at 8.4 Ohms, torque constant at 0.92 Nm/A, and voltage constant at 58.5 V/1000 rpm. It uses natural convection cooling and its thermal time constant is 13 minutes. Maximum permissible encoder speed is 9000 rpm and it possesses optical encoder with Multiturn absolute design. The IP protection class is 65 as per EN-60034-5 and insulation class is 155. Maintenance work should only be carried out when the motor is cool and operations should be conducted by trained personnel adhering to safety guidelines.
