The MSK050B-0450-NN-M2-UG0-RNNN is a synchronous servo motor constructed by Bosch Rexroth. This motor, part of the MSK series, incorporates an inbuilt multiturn optical encoder with an EnDat 2.1 interface and 2048 signal periods, boasting an accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. The encoder functions on a DC supply input of 3.6 to 14 volts, with a peak current consumption of 250 milliamps. Notably, the motor lacks a holding brake and offers a smooth shaft featuring a sealing ring, which safeguards motor bearings and helps attain an IP65 protection rating for the motor's casing. Due to the IP65 rating, the motor is commonly positioned outdoors and consequently demands routine maintenances for optimum longevity. This also includes replacing the seal periodically. Operable in an ambient temperature of 0-40°C and at altitudes up to 1000 meters, the motor can function with reduced performance data at higher altitudes and temperatures. Cooling is facilitated through natural convection and the motor weighs approximately 5.4 kilograms.
