The Bosch Rexroth Indramat MSK071D-0300-NN-S1-UG0-NSNN is part of the MSK series of motors, designed with a standard and extended housing for compliance with device group II, categories 3G and 3D per EN 60079 ff standards. No holding brake is included, but one can be ordered separately. A plain shaft, complete with a sealing ring, prevents oil leakage and protects against environmental contaminants, but does require periodic replacement. The housing and connectors are also sealed, allowing the motor to earn an IP65 protection rating, indicating its resilience against dust and low pressure liquid jets. Its power and feedback connectors are both 240-degree rotatable. An integrated single-turn encoder provides feedback within one revolution of the motor shaft. It utilizes natural convection cooling which relies on ambient air flow, optimal in 0 to 40 degree Celsius conditions. The motor weighs approximately 18 kg and has a thermal class of 155.
