The Bosch Rexroth Indramat's MSK071D-0450-NN-M3-UP0-NNNN synchronous servomotor lays out specific instructions for handling and operation. The motor, which shouldn't contain substances such as asbestos or mercury, must be stored horizontally and checked for damage if left in storage for over a month. The motor undergoes several tests including a high-voltage test, and insulation resistance test, amongst others, prior to shipping. Specifications are written both on the typeplate and in the encoder data memory for easy identification. Safety precautions include limiting force to radial and axial ranges and only permitting skilled personnel to operate.
