The Bosch Rexroth Indramat MTC-P01.2-M1-A2-A2-A2-FW EP is a CNC controller designed to be housed in an industrial PC. It fits into an ISA bus module format and has a base processor that includes the CNC processor system. This module also includes an integrated axis processor with connectivity to a maximum of 8 drives using a SERCOS fiber optic interface. Additional modules can be connected to expand control capacity to 32 drives. The base unit can accommodate three MTC modules for installation in either a BTV 20 or BTV 30 industrial computer. This particular model is export restricted, possesses 1MB of RAM, and has four axis processor modules which control 32 drives but only 4 axes can interpolate simultaneously. Communication happens over the ISA bus which also supplies power. Stored module data may be lost after 6 months, and it contains a rechargeable battery that provides 5,000 hours of backup power. Firmware needs to be purchased separately, and DIP switches set module addresses.
