The MX2000-8 is a high-quality and multi-functional drive control system manufactured by Kollmorgen, renowned manufacturers of superior motion control systems. This device operates on a digital signal processor allowing it to multitask, managing up to seven complex motions simultaneously. It can control two to eight stepper or servo drives, operating on an electrical frequency of 90 to 132 VAC on a 50/60 Hz frequency. The system is designed with a built-in AC line filter and MOV's with advanced processing power, due to its sophisticated computer hardware. The set includes three primary circuit cards designed to communicate using a passive backplane secured in a rugged enclosure. The MX2000-8 hosts serial ports for enhanced communication, with the ability to handle both 'dumb' and 'intelligent' operator interfaces. It also offers standard pulse and direction signals while affording convenient programming in user units, contributed to its extensive mathematical functionality.
