The module is capable of supporting an axis processor in its optional sockets and holding application-specific NC data persistently within its SRAM. However, the data is entirely eradicated if the lithium battery fully discharges. This module is unable to function with MTC-P or MTC-R active axis processor modules and should not be operated under severe temperature variances. The firmware components for APR and CPU are only loadable with a boot monitor or loader, playing a vital role in SERCOS interface communication, axes interpolation, and several other axis-related functions.
