The R911256091 (RAC 3.5-100-460-A00-Z1-220), designed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is a main spindle drive controller that needs to be installed inside a securely sealed housing with ample space - a minimum of 160mm both above and below. Built to function optimally at a maximum temperature of 45°, this controller boasts a control voltage rating of 230VAC +/-10% and weighs 49kg. With a +/-10V analog speed setpoint on its X4 connector, it can easily be connected to conventional CNC controls. It must be set up at an elevation not exceeding 1000m above sea level. Complying with EN 60529/DIN VDE 0470 specifications, it carries an IP 10 protection rating.
The controller is designed to operate in a vertical position, with a heat sink built-in to dissipate generated heat. It features a current rating of 100A and its internal fan has an IP 24 protection category. Equipped with three electrical connections, it can be seamlessly integrated with control circuits using the ready evaluation contact and mains contactor control via the X15 terminal strip. The A1, A2 and A3 terminals are designed for motor power connection at the X14 connector. Despite not having an additional encoder input or interface, the controller has a built-in, additional bleeder which kicks into action in the case of mains voltage failure. Functionality options can be tailored according to the electrical connections required by the device.
