The R911273197 (HVE03.1-W030N) is a 2nd generation power unit, created by Rexroth Indramat Company, a notable subsidiary of Bosch. This modularly designed power unit is an integral part of the AC drive system. Its primary function is to convert three-phase AC voltage from the power supply to an unregulated DC bus voltage for drive controllers. Transparency in operations of multiple drive controllers without the requirement for an additional power unit is made smooth and efficient by this device.
Operating in generator mode, the power unit dissipates regenerated energy as heat through a bleeder resistor. Its internal power contactor allows the separation of drive controllers from the mains, thus controlling the voltage supplied to the linked controllers. Apart from voltage control, it monitors the entire drive system. The power unit is adjustable to suit power requirements. With maximum conditions of use comprising continuous mechanical power of 60 kW and mains voltage of 3 x AC 380 … 480 V, its bleeder power stands at a consistent 1.5 kW. It weighs 16 kg and touts a power loss at maximum continuous output, 355 kW. Operational constraints include a permitted temperature range of 5 to 45 degrees and installation elevation not exceeding 1000 meters above sea level.
