The product in question is an industrial motor known as R911315844 (MSK061C-0600-NN-M1-UG1-NNNN), engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the acclaimed IntraDyn S series. This high-performance motor is designed to deliver a maximum torque of 32Nm and operates at a maximum speed of 6,000RPM. It maintains a sustainable noise level not exceeding 75dB[A], which is quite low considering its power output.
The MSK061C variant comes with an additional holding brake based on the "electrically-released" principle, allowing axes to be held at a standstill when the controller is disabled. However, it's not intended for operational brake usage. It employs an optical encoder offering 128 increments and retains an absolute position recording within 4096 motor revolutions. Interestingly, even if the voltage is turned off, this motor remembers the absolute position of the axis.
The motor has a shaft with a sealing ring which produces frictional heat, thus importance should be placed on maintaining cleanliness at the sealing point. For its lifespan, this seal has been lubricated and won't require additional lubing under normal operating conditions. Lastly, it incorporates a natural convection cooling system that dissipates heat slowly. However, the efficiency of this system can get compromised due to pollution, hence a regular cleaning schedule is advisable.
