The S20630-CNS is a servo drive built by Kollmorgen, a company renowned for developing reliable automation devices. This particular drive unit is part of the S200 servo drive family and is specifically intended for use with the AKM servo motors made by Danaher Motion. The S20630-CNS operates optimally in an ambient temperature between zero and 30 degrees Celsius, producing maximal output current of 6.0 Arms in these conditions. However, it can also function at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius, producing an output current of 4.5 Arms. At 75 VDC, it provides 1,500 VA of peak output power for 1 second and a continuous power of 500 W. When operating at 3,000 revolutions per minute, the drive supplies a continuous power of 315 W at zero to 30 degrees Celsius, and 250 W at 40 degrees Celsius. Safety features include motor over-temperature detection and in-built monitoring to prevent overheating of the power stage heat sink. The S20630-CNS does not come with shunt regulation but includes easy setup guides for different communication modes.
