The S70302-PBNAS2 is a digital servo amplifier crafted by Kollmorgen that has to be connected through a series wiring in the emergency stop circuit. Highly sensitive, it requires accurate grounding to prevent electrical shock and should be used strictly as instructed by the manufacturer. This high-performance amplifier links to an external 24 VDC auxiliary power supply at the X4 connector, forming an oscillating circuit with the motor winding and supply cable. Equipped with an RS 232 PC interface, this unit can connect up to 255 servo amplifiers to a PC with a specialized cable and includes a PROFIBUS expansion card. Servo amplifier operation necessitates an external fusing for the power section, competent ventilation within its control cabinet, and supports both linear and DC motors. Possessing phase failure monitoring functionality, the device also features one Enable and two STO Enable inputs. Connections for its DC bus link and brake resistor mandate 10 AWG conductor cross-section while the motor holding brake is controlled with 24 V voltage rating and 2 A current rating directly.
