The SERVOSTAR-446M-S from Kollmorgen is part of the S400 Servo Drives series and features DC-coupled differential transmit/receive with a rectified and smoothed DC bus link. It supports CANopen, PROFIBUS, SERCOS interfaces and delivers 220 pulses/turn encoder resolution. Thermal management holds internal temps <55 °C (fan off) and >58 °C (fan on) while heat sink temps remain 60 °C (fan off) and 65 °C (fan on). The internal brake resistor supplies <20 W (fan off) and >30 W (fan on)>, and a 500 V isolation voltage ensures reliable operation.
