The SM 10/20-TA, produced by global motion control leader Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is an inverter system that manages servo motor speed and torque. With a modular design, the basic setup includes a power supply and servo module. The inverter, powered by a 380 V – 415 V three-phase supply, delivers the necessary torque at any speed via adjustments in semiconductor voltages and currents. The system operates with a 10 A rated current and a peak current of 20 A at a 45°C temperature. The SM 10/20-TA needs a 20 W power supply and has a maximum power loss of 90 W. Operational temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, while storage temperatures can span -25°C to 70°C. Cooling is achieved with an included axial blower. The inverter functions optimally within a 1000 meter elevation and can be coupled with a separate diagnostics module for efficient fault monitoring.
