The Pacific Scientific SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU is a high-performance, permanent magnet Direct Current (DC) motor. This device features a magnet strongly magnetized and affixed to the inner circumference of the cylindrical steel stator, providing a return pathway for the magnetic flux. It is powered with a DC supply of 6,12 or 24 volts, delivered through rectifiers or batteries. The product of the interaction between the magnetic flux and axial current leads to the generation of torque. Note that the speed control cannot be managed using the flux control technique due to the constant flux in the drive. However, the torque and speed can be controlled using armature rheostat regulator, armature voltage rheostat, and chopper controller methods. This compact, light, and efficient motor features a 56C NEMA Frame, 6.5 inertia, 4.2 consistent torque, and 4.7 current (Amps).
