The TVM 2.2-050-220/300-W1, produced by industrial motion control specialist Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is a power supply module that services their synchronous servo digital drives. The module converts AC line voltage into DC bus voltage and can redirect, or "regenerate," produced energy back into the system or be absorbed by the bleeder resistor. It includes a variety of monitoring functions for parameters including temperature, current of the drives, and bleeder resistor load. The unit features safety measures like a ready-state contact for cutting power in case of issues, and dynamic braking for halting the drivers in fault situations. The TVM 2.2-050-220/300-W1 can power servo drives with a total continuous output of 4.1 kW and be adapted to line voltage via autotransformer, negating a need for semiconductor fuses. With the TBM 1.2 module, the continuous and peak regenerated power capacity is augmented.
