The Kollmorgen VLM31E-BKNC-30 is a brushless servomotor, designed for use with Kollmorgen's AKD series of 120/240VAC servo drive systems. With a size equivalent to a NEMA 34 square frame, it bridges the gap between high-end servomotors and more traditional stepper or induction motors. Providing a continuous stall torque of 1.96Nm at a winding temperature of 100°C, it operates at an ambient temperature of 40°C. The brushless motor, which is part of Kollmorgen's VLM series, yields an impressive torque to cost ratio, making it a cost-effective solution for full machine control and motion applications. The 2,000RPM at 160VDC rated motor has a shaft length of 1.25 inches and uses an aluminum plate as a heat sink. Although a brake inclusion is not supported, it features fixed connectors and cables, as well as an optional 3-meter cable length.
