The X20AI1744-3 module, manufactured by B & R Automation, is designed for precise measurement using a full-bridge strain-gauge input. It effectively translates force, pressure, tension, or weight into measurable electrical resistance changes. The module supports both 6-wire and 4-wire strain-gauge load cells and features a software-configurable strain gauge factor ranging from 2 to 256 millivolts per Volt. It offers data output rates from 0.1 Hz to 7.5 kHz, adjustable by the user. The digital converter provides a 24-bit resolution, with conversion time varying according to the sample rate, adjustable up to 7500 samples per second. Notably, the module includes optional multiple sampling and synchronous operational modes, and the input filter utilizes a 3rd order design with a 5 Hz cutoff frequency and a 60 dB attenuation slope. The differential input type ensures precise measurement accuracy.
